Nick Lachey Is Newest Addition to Big Brothers Big Sisters Family
Monday June 7.... TV Star and Singer to Headline Ceremony Celebrating Organization's 100th
-- Nick Lachey, the accomplished singer and star of the hit reality program "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica," soon will add another "big" project to his portfolio -- helping Big Brothers Big Sisters, the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization ion the country, celebrate its centennial anniversary.
The celebration, which will take place on June 16 in New York City, will feature a "grand reunion" of former Big and Little Brothers and Sisters from around the country -- the largest such reunion in the organization's 100-year history. Lachey, who will headline the event, which is being called the Grand Reunion Centennial Scoop, will be joined by such famous personalities as football great Lynn Swann and basketball legend Bill Russell, as well as countless others who have devoted their time and energies to helping at-risk youth.Read more here
June 5- Well this just in....Nick has NOT decided on which label he wants to go to yet...he will be talking to them and making a decision sometime during the next 2 weeks! And of course WE will keep ya'll updated!

May 31- Nick has reportedly been dropped from Universal...there has been no word to comfirm that this is true. Nick will be appearing at the MLB All-Star baseball game July 12th. "Jessica Simpson might be known as his better half, but we vehemently disagree. If anything, she's lucky to have him. Could the guy be any more patient, taking the time to explain intricacies such as the difference between chicken and tuna, waiting until their wedding night to do the deed and keeping their house clean while she's off to photo shoot after photo shoot? His six-pack abs, toothy grin and luscious voice certainly don't hurt.
Though he's now the most famous Newlywed around, Nick was just a regular guy growing up in Cincinnati with his brother, Drew, and six other half, step or adopted siblings. Always the pragmatist (just watch the show!), he suppressed his love of music and enrolled in Miami University in Ohio. He was studying sports medicine when he received a call that would change his life. His buddy Jeff asked him to jet to L.A. to join an up-and-coming band, and after a few flights back and forth, Nick was sold. So much so that he asked Drew and his friend Justin to hop on board as well. 98 Degrees was formed, much to the delight of screaming girls around the world. The group reaped tremendous success, but when the boy-band bubble burst, so too did their popularity. Nick did what any realist would: He went solo. After swapping vows with his (in)famous other half, he got down to business, and in November 2003 released Soulo, a mix of pop, R&B and heartfelt ballads. Don't expect Nick to slow down. He's moving into TV and aspires to become a movie star. All we can say is that though we like what we see each week on his show, we hope he doesn't abandon music altogether. Hotties in the movies are a dime a dozen; hotties who dote on their wives, clean the house and can belt out a tune?
